The consumer code which domestic renewable energy installation companies must comply with has changed its name from the ‘REAL Consumer Code’ to the ‘Renewable Energy Consumer Code’ (RECC). The new name better reflects its purpose and distinguishes the Code from Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd (REAL), the organisation that operates it as well as several other schemes including the Green Deal Code of Practice.
